Pillar Four – The Post-Test

The Five Pillars of Instruction

The Post-test – One of the Five Pillars of Instruction

The post-test is an important milestone in your child’s learning journey at School House Canada. It represents the culmination of all the work your child has completed. Throughout the learning process, your child has worked independently, revisited corrected work, and redone practice exercises to build both skill and confidence.

The School House Canada approach encourages your child to take ownership of his learning by identifying challenging areas and developing some of his own practice materials to strengthen areas that need improvement. Throughout this process, our tutors provide targeted feedback and guide students through multiple opportunities to practise each objective in a structured and confidence-building way.

By the time your child reaches the post-test stage, he has demonstrated consistent competency and a clear understanding of the required skills. At School House Canada, we do not rush this step; instead, we ensure that your child has demonstrated consistent success on formative tasks and is ready to show true understanding. This approach ensures that the post-test is not a stressful event but a celebration of achievement—a moment where your child can demonstrate the progress he has worked hard to attain.
